"Czech - Israeli symposium "Microalgal Energy Conversion: Fundamentals and Applications, 24.-27. May 2015"

The joint Czech-Israeli symposium brings together researches from universities and academic institutions of the two counties for four days of intense exchange of ideas and on-site networking.

The program of the meeting covers the most recent advances in biochemistry, genetic and biophysics of photosynthesis in microscopic algae as well as the prospects of their use in biotechnological applications. Academic participants joined by representatives of the industry will join forces in phrasing strategies for solving the research and innovation challenges for the next decade and intensify interactions and cooperation between scientists from the two countries.

The symposium is held under the auspices of the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences Prof. Jiri Drahos and Rector of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice Prof. Libor Grubhoffer.
