The Faculty of Philosophy of the University of South Bohemia has got the best thesis in the category of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Academia Publishing House, which operates as a part of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, assessed the best thesis in a student competition.
The author of the winning dissertation named “Marie Kudeříková: Lifetime of a myth and human experience” is the student Daniela Poláková. Her work studies the personality of a young anti-fascist campaigner Marie Kudeříková.
The ceremonial announcement of the results of the competition took place on April 11, 2016 in the seat of the Academy of Sciences in Prague.
Mgr. Daniela Poláková is currently studying a doctoral study programme History of Modern Czech literature at the Faculty of Philosophy at the USB.
