Autonomous Learning

Tuesday 6 March 2018 02:00 PM

Invitation by British centre of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

Presentation: Klára Pavlínová

An interesting concept in language teaching is the autonomous learning model. It springs from the idea that the teacher, or rather the mentor, intervenes in the learning process less than is seen traditionally, and also that it is up to the individual student how they go about their study.
Students check themselves, establish their own goals, and to a certain extent also decide upon the context of their study. It is therefore an integrated conception of self-driven study. The presenter will share experiences gained during her running a course based on these principles.
